Members of the FEVER Board spent two days in December 2007 on Kangaroo Island, visiting a number of different industry employers and attending local meetings and events which gave them an opportunity to learn more about that part of the FEVER LCP region, and its unique characteristics. All businesses visited are involved in tourism as a value added part of their business.
Visiting KIAB (Kangaroo Island Abalone) which is a large Abalone farm on the north cost of Kangaroo Island. Photos above and below shows abalone being farmed in ponds of varying sizes as they grow, until large enough to harvest.
FEVER donated a fully equipped trades training trailer to Parndana Campus of Kangaroo Island Community Education for use to deliver vocational training to school students.
